Very nicely located hotel, which left nothing to be desired.
I can only report positves here. Yes, the hotel looks old from the outside and the rooms may have already had the best years. But we felt very comfortable, it was very clean, the hotel staff was helpful and always friendly. Breakfast was equally great and rich, the pool we didn't use, however, it still had its 25 degrees now in November. If you don't want dinner at the hotel, you have to rely on good feet or the car/bike. We didn’t mind having to walk for a while, especially after a delicious supper or two. The spa area also scored points. I didn't expect a Welness/Spa hotel and so the area is completely sufficient. For hiking/biking tours, however, the hotel is ideally located. Located directly on the forest and also on foot you are quite quickly after just under 15 minutes on the beach. We enjoyed it and will probably check into the hotel again to make another holiday here.

4-star Superior – Demand and reality diverge
As a 4-star superior hotel, you should expect the highest quality and a first-class stay. Unfortunately, I was disappointed in many respects and the question arises as to how this hotel justifies its stars.
Exterior and interior
The online presence suggests a well-kept facility, but the reality is different: The façade is dirty and looks worn out, while the furnishings have become very old. The equipment is reminiscent of the 70s and shows clear signs of wear. The rooms in particular are in need of renovation – dirty walls and worn furniture testify to a lack of care.
Cleanliness
Although the cleaning is done daily, the thoroughness leaves something to be desired. For example, mirrors are not cleaned and glasses are not replaced. Mold discovered in the bathroom was reported, but only removed after three days and a conversation with the hotel manager – an imposition that shows that hygiene is not a top priority here.
Gastronomy
The breakfast buffet was good and offered a decent selection. The dinner, on the other hand, disappointed: The quality was moderate, supplies were long in coming, and cleanliness at the buffet was hardly considered. Particularly disturbing was the lack of labelling of the food, which causes problems for allergy sufferers or people with special dietary needs. Vegetarian or vegan alternatives were virtually nonexistent.
The Christmas menu was highly touted, but the reality was disappointing: The announced combinations were only found after searches at the buffet.When asked why the combinations are not together, we got the answer that you could put it together yourself - then why even a menu lineup?
The stressed and rushed-looking staff in the catering industry also did not contribute to a pleasant stay. The drinks menu was poor, the prices for drinks outrageously high (e.g. 0.2 l for €3.50).
Service and dealing with guests
A major drawback was the way guests were treated: The reception seemed unfriendly and short-bound. An example: When the barrier to the paid parking lot was open for hours, my notice was dismissed with a lapidary “That should not be.” No excuse, no suggested solution – that’s not how I imagine good service.
Unhygienic conditions
The toleration of dogs in the restaurant was particularly irritating. While it is understandable that some guests may want to bring their dogs, there should be clear rules that uphold hygienic standards.
Conclusion
The hotel does not meet the standards of a 4-star superior hotel. Many areas, especially the cleanliness, condition of the rooms and friendliness of the staff, urgently need improvement. The stay was disappointing in many ways and is disproportionate to the expectations placed on a hotel of this category.

Very idyllic
Very nice and quiet location directly on the forest area (NSG) towards the beach. This gives the possibility to go on extended hikes on foot or by bike (rental bikes possible) to the western beach, lighthouse or even to the nearby villages.
Hotel parking (10 euros).
The restaurant is located in a separate building. The breakfast buffet is varied and plentiful and the staff attentive.
The hotel has a sauna (including steam bath) and offers massages. So well suited for wellness lovers.
We have been here 4 times, including 3 times in winter. With snow, the landscape looks sensational, of course, but even without it you can enjoy the very beautiful outdoor areas of the hotel.

Family celebration for the 100th anniversary Birthday
We booked the restaurant for 55 people for a brunch. It was just great. From the first conversation we were confident that everything would work out. We were surprised on the day with a hot and cold buffet which tasted wonderful. Mandy and Monika served us and fulfilled our wishes. The kitchen staff looked and inquired if everything was okay. Even the hotel manager, Mr. Schummek, had an eye on the action. It was an all-round successful event!

Very good, quiet holiday hotel
Nice hotel located directly on the forest, very quiet, to the beach it is a few kilometers, to the village only a few minutes. The breakfast is sensationally rich, the a la carte food very good. The rooms are not too large, but equipped with every comfort. Fitness, wellness and pool we have not tried, but make a good impression.
