Great position and very welcoming

Driving around this beautiful part of Carinthia on a Saturday in June, it was surprisingly difficult to find any open hotels. So coming across the Aldershof, right on the river in central Wolfsberg, was very welcome. I had a very comfortable large room with excellent bathroom overlooking the river, with buffet breakfast, for €72. The lady at reception (who speaks very good English) was exceptionally warm and welcoming and went to the trouble of booking me a table at the nearby excellent restaurant Kainz (see separate review) for dinner (there weren’t many dinner open restaurant options either).
There were church bells but not before 6am - so manageable compared to other parts of the German-speaking world where they can go all night.
Highly recommended

Great hospitality

Cute little b&b in a cute little town. Staff is very friendly, we missed the breakfast time, but they still insisting in making us an omelette before we head out!
But also due to the small place, the host/hostess, is also the chef, who also takes care of the dishes, and more..... so expect to wait a little.....

Great dinner....big and nice rooms

Suggested by an Austrian friend, we had a really nice dinner...big rooms...a nice wine bar along the river.
For runners.....I had a 10 km running session in the evening in the cuountry side and after that some good home made cakes :-)

right in the center, yet so quiet

This is a lovely place, with wonderful, comfortable rooms overlooking the river and the old town. The lady at the reception is most welcoming and very helpful. Probably not the cheapest place in town, but worth every penny. When in Wolfsberg, look no further, this is by far the best option. And, oh yes, breakfast was delicious, best fresh fruitsalad ever!

Lovely!

What a warm and cute place! The staff is very welcoming and helpful. We arrived Sunday night and everything was closed in Wolfsberg, after the nice hotel lady let us in she phoned around and found a restaurant for us that was open. Literally everything was closed!! The location of the hotel was awesome, unfortunately we didn't have any time to look around. But we were served breakfast (good and plenty) in the gardens on Monday and it was lovely. Would definitely come back. The hotel only serves lunch, they are closed for dinner unfortunately.
