Comfortable stay

Enjoyed stay. Lovely friendly, helpful staff. Basic, good-sized room and nice bathroom facilities. Lovely generous breakfast. Great location in the centre besides many restaurants and shops. Requested quiet room and got that. Would definitely choose it again.

Great Weekend in Killarney.

22 of us stayed at the Eviston house hotel last weekend 20th-23rd Aug 26.
Let's start at the beginning.
Reception on arrival were fantastic. Every room key was named and passed around eagerly and efficiently. The staff in reception were always smiling and happy to help.
The rooms had everything you need. Great showers, beds , tv and an iron.
Breakfast was brilliant. The girls in the Breakfast room were also lovely and happy to help.
We ate at the hotel a few of the evenings that we were there and the food was very good and quickly served even though the down stairs restaurant was often very busy. The entertainment in the restaurant was very good.
The only downside we all seemed to agree on was the bar staff. They didn't seem to know who needed serving next. When we asked for a drink we were almost ignored. These lads need some serious training in bar etiquette and public communication.
Other than that we didn't have any issues.
Its in a fantastic location with shops and bars all around.

Terrible hotel

Terrible stay, very basic hotel, so much noise with music and crowds singing outside at night, had to keep window closed, music didn’t stop until 1 in the morning. Had black out curtains but they were too small for the window. No air con, when the window was opened it had a security latch so only opened a little. Extractor fans can on in the morning.
Lights over bed didn’t work.
Hotel needs updating badly.
Had breakfast one morning, very basic,
Shop bought sliced bread only beside the toaster (make your own)
Maybe if you are in Killarney for the night life only you wouldn’t mind this hotel.

Property is dated but I’ve definitely seen worse. Clean reception area, hallways, and restaurant. Room was ok, only real bad thing was the mattress or bed cover smelled of vomit. Only stayed 1 night so we stuck it out. Too tired to try and change rooms at 11pm.

Noisey

Free parking and very central, but another Irish hotel that is really noisey!
7:15am and counting the times people walk across the floor in the room above me! How many times do you walk across the room to the bathroom 20-30?
