Couldn’t have been better!

I’m so so glad I booked with Rohat for 4-night stay in Kokand. It’s centrally located within easy walking distance to the major sites of the city (mosques, the palace, etc), and there’s an awesome market right down stairs with snacks, cold drinks, and ice cream. The restaurant two buildings over serves shashlik and tea at a great price.
The facilities were exceptionally clean and my room was very comfortable with a private bathroom. AC worked perfectly and kept my room comfortable at all times.
But the best part of this hotel/hostel is definitely the staff. They were all incredibly helpful and welcoming, and one of the guys invited me to join him and his friends on the patio for some home cooked osh when he saw me leaving to find dinner. They were able to help me call taxis when I needed them and advised me on prices for taxis to other cities in the region. Two of the three guys at the desk I dealt with spoke fluent English, and the third speaks Uzbek and Russian. All great guys.
Overall, I would recommend Rohat hostel to anyone. You won’t find a better value or more accommodating hosts to help make Kokand feel like home.

Acceptable because there are few accommodation options in this sad city..

Nothing to say about the quality/price ratio: unbeatable.
On the other hand, the receptionist plays the fussy little boss and is barely courteous.
During our 15-day stay in Ouz. he was the only one to descend into total melodrama because we didn't have our check-in forms from previous hotels. None of the latter had deemed it useful to establish them. Thirty minutes of endless chatter, phone calls. right, left and we were finally able to access the rooms.
Warning: they advertise free tea and coffee but the hotel provides neither, and charges for water..
Ask for a room at the end of the corridor because the traffic noise on the avenue is infernal night and day
By taxi from the station, count around 20,000 sums

Accueil mitigé

L'accueil a été froid malgré la réservation. On nous exigeait les feuilles d'enregistrement dans d'autres hôtels, alors qu'ailleurs depuis 2 semaines que nous étions en Ouzbékistan, on ne nous demandait rien si ce n'est nos passeports. Le reste était correct, pas de petit-déjeuner proposé. L'emplacement est central, possibilité de faire venir le taxi à un petit prix.
