Diving into paradise at Stella Mare

Our expectations were exceeded. Host Sandrine and her entire team are warm, accommodating, and likable. Breakfast buffet highly recommended, price-performance ratio is absolutely right. The hotel is a jewel, furnished with great attention to detail. We would love to come back.

Wonderful stay at Stella Mare in Algajola.

I just spent a week at the Stella Mare hotel in Algajola. The welcome was remarkable from the moment we arrived: Sandrine and her entire team are professional, smiling, and very attentive. The hotel enjoys a magnificent location, ideal for fully enjoying the exceptional surroundings of the area. I also greatly appreciated the decor, which was done with great taste, creating an elegant and warm atmosphere. This is an address I recommend without hesitation and where I will return with great pleasure.

A charming hotel with a wonderful view of the nearby sea

We spent a week in the charming Hotel Stella Mare with a wonderful view of the sea and the small, slightly sleepy town, which is a very good starting point for excursions. The staff and hotel management were extremely friendly, helpful and very competent, and always had a tip for our next excursion. The room was clean and well-kept, but a bit small, although you can also book more spacious rooms. Even the breakfast was great, much more than you would expect from a 3* hotel. Overall: you arrive and feel at home. We can only recommend the Stella Mare.

Very nice ambience

The Hotel Stella Mare in Algajola shines in many ways: 1. It is beautifully situated, elevated on a hill. The rooms with a sea view have a wonderful view of the village, the bay and the beach in the background. The small beach directly below the village (sand and rocks) is not far away. Within walking distance there is a very friendly shop with a well-stocked range, a bakery with a café and a large number of restaurants. The Balagne railway station is also very close by. 2. The hotel itself is very well run. The people there are extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is well-maintained: fresh fruit, as much as your heart desires, and everything else you need for a rich and delicious breakfast in a wonderful Mediterranean atmosphere. The rooms are rather small, but adequate. The daily room service is extremely careful, extremely well-maintained and clean. There are lovely lounges to relax and unwind in, free parasols for beach lovers, etc. The hotel is not suitable for people with mobility issues: you have to climb stairs, even up to the hotel. There is no lift. The hellish noise that the diesel train makes every time it pulls into the station takes some getting used to. In general, however, it is quiet and peaceful; no constant street noise. A simple, honest, highly recommended hotel where you can feel at home in a pleasant place. We were reluctant to leave.

Lovely and Charming Small Hotel

Loved this hotel - we had an ocean view on 2nd floor and the view was beautiful. Very clean and comfy beds. Small bathroom like most in Europe. Katia and Sandrine were wonderful and couldn't have been kinder or more helpful. Walking distance to cute little town and nice local beach. Our adult children had mountain view rooms which were also lovely.
